Setting Up Your MessagePay Account

You’ll only need to do this once. After your account’s verified, paying by text takes just seconds.

  • Verify Your Account: Enter your account number and date of birth to confirm it’s you.
  • Create a 4-Digit PIN: Choose a PIN you’ll use to verify future payments, and store it somewhere secure.
  • Add a Payment Method: Link a debit card or bank account you’d like to pay from.
  • Start Making Payments: Once you’re verified, paying is as easy as replying to a text.

How MessagePay Works

Once you’re set up, making a payment only takes a few taps.

  • You’ll get a text when your loan payment is due, along with the amount.
  • Reply “Pay” to that text.
  • Enter your 4-digit PIN to verify it’s you.
  • That’s it — you’ll get a confirmation text once your payment goes through.
  • Want to opt out of text alerts? Reply “STOP” at any time.

Can I still pay my loan through Online or Mobile Banking?

Yes. MessagePay is an additional way to pay, not a replacement. You can still make a loan payment anytime through Online Banking or the Visionary FCU mobile app.

What happens if I opt out of text reminders?

You’ll stop getting MessagePay texts, but you can still pay your loan through Online Banking, the mobile app, or by calling us at 412-221-6660.

How do I make a payment by text?

Once your account’s set up, reply “Pay” to your MessagePay text reminder and enter your 4-digit PIN to verify it’s you. Your payment is complete as soon as you receive a confirmation text.

Is MessagePay secure?

Yes. MessagePay uses encrypted connections to protect your account and payment information from start to finish.

What if I forget my PIN?

Give us a call at 412-221-6660, and we’ll help you get back into your account.

Can I use MessagePay to pay more than one loan?

Yes. Once you’re verified, your payment portal shows every loan tied to your account, so you can choose which one to pay.
